The National Weather Service and Linn County Sheriff's Office are monitoring the potential thunderstorm forecasted for Wednesday, March 26, to Thursday, March 27, 2025.
City Hall will be open both days and plan to operate as normal. However, the weather forecast predicts conditions that could cause a power outage or potentially down a tree.
We encourage businesses and residents in Tangent to be prepared for the potential thunderstorm by ensuring items that the wind could blow away are secured or brought inside. Also, have a plan in case of a power outage, such as battery operated flash light, can food, or generators to provide power.
