Open House and Joint Work Session to review potential Urban Reserves

What: A public open house and joint work session with the Tangent Planning Commission and City Council to inform and get feedback on the direction of the City of Tangent’s future growth.

When: October 14, 2023, Open house at 5 pm, Work Session at 6:30.

Where:City Hall, 32166 Old Oak Dr, Tangent, OR 97389

Why:  The City of Tangent is considering potential urban reserves that would direct where the City’s Urban Growth Boundary could expand in the future. Urban reserves are lands suitable for accommodating urban development over the 50 years after their designation. These designations do not change current zoning or restrict landowners' currently allowed use of their lands. They do provide greater clarity regarding long-term expected uses of the land, allowing public and private landowners to make long-term investments with greater assurance.
